Summer in BKK
So I spent my part II "Summer" holidays (or more like my non-paid leave) at BKK with Ain & family. It was by far, the best overseas trip, ever. Eventhough I've been to BKK 3 times within a year, I really managed to enjoy myself even more during this trip, all thanks to the company.
Despite going with Ain & family, and I may not be that close with her family, I am just so thankful that everyone tried their best to include me in almost everything and welcomed me with open-arms (not literally but you know what I mean) Being with them for 4 days made me reminisce and miss all the happy times whenever I used to travel with my family (with Baba around of cos)
The highlight of the trip was definitely the last day when we missed our flight. Yes, we literally missed our flight because we thought our flight was in the afternoon when it's actually in the morning. Yea, sounds dumb like who actually get their flight time mixed up?! We did and it was definitely an experience indeed. In fact, it sums up our trip perfectly.
With all the over-negative emotions upon knowing we missed our flight, we managed to keep calm and book the next available flight (with the help of our friends back in SG) and safely reach SG on the same day. Thanks to this incident, I realized that Ain prolly has the nicest parents & brother. Her negative thoughts thinking that they'd be disappointed with her when they learn the truth wasn't proven. Instead of scolding or perhaps getting angry with her, they actually calmed her down and literally tell her "Everything's gonna be fine". I was really touched upon hearing that as I know, not many people would react as calmly as them.
And the best part, I was actually enjoying the whole scene of missing the flight, the rush of trying to find a place back home, the mixed emotions while waiting for our flight & card to be processed.... Well, everything.
This trip ended up with a beautiful rainbow appearing in our sight while we're making our way to the other airport in BKK (to catch our next plane) and all of us just went "awwww" as we came to realize that "there's always a rainbow after the rain" which totally reflects our last day in BKK.
(:
Have to thank Ain for paying the expenses of my flight + accommodation in-lieu for my birthday treat and her father for the breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Definitely, one of the best trip! ^^
